Ajay Devgn, who plays Syed Abdul Rahim in Maidaan, took to Twitter to make the big announcement. Sharing a poster of the film, he wrote, “#maidaankicksoff today!”
Ajay Devgn will step into the shoes of Syed to tell the story of this unsung hero who was responsible for taking Indian football to new heights and winning accolades for the country. Sharing his first look, Ajay wrote, “Yeh kahaani hai Indian football ke Golden phase ki aur uske sabse badey aur successful coach ki. #Maidaan.”
He shared another poster writing, “Badlav lane ke liye ek akela bhi kafi hota hai.”
South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh will play the role of Ajay’s wife in the film. It is for the first time that Ajay and Keerthy will share screen space. Maidaan is directed and written by Amit Ravindrenath Sharma. It will release on November 27, 2020.
