Thappad is upcoming 2020 Bollywood Hindi-language drama film starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Thappad is directed by Anubhav Sinha and jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Anubhav Sinha. It is scheduled for theatrically released in India on February 28, 2020. The Thappad Movie Released date will collide with Guns of Banaras and Doordarshan.

Thappad is an Upcoming Hindi Language Movie of bollywood cinema. It is a drama genre movie. In the film Thappad Taapsee Pannu, Pavail Gulati, Vikram Gokhale, Prateik Babbar, Rajpal Yadav, Ram Kapoor, Nidhi Uttam, Gracy Goswami, Ratna Pathak, and others will seen trying their hands in lead roles.

The official handle of T-series posted the trailer of ‘Thappad’ along with the caption, “Thappad is a relationship story of Amrita whose seemingly perfect life is shattered with a slap. But is one slap enough to question what a relationship stands for? Should a slap shake up her trust or is a Thappad ‘Bas Itni Si Baat’?”

The film’s trailer shows Taapsee, seeking a divorce after her husband Pavail Gulati slaps her in front of everyone at a party. Thappad tells the story of a woman who decides to divorce her husband after he slaps her. The film shows that it is never okay to hit a woman. Not even once.

Thappad is a simple story of an upper-middle-class couple based in Delhi. The wife is questioning if it is okay for her husband to slap her, even if it is a one-off case. But Thappad doesn’t leave it to just a question. At the core of the story is a human being’s ego, gender irrelevant here. After watching Thappad on Friday, Javed Akhtar reviewed it on Twitter. He wrote, “Today I saw one of the most sensitive , sensible and socially relevant film of recent times Thappad is an extremely well told and well performed movie .
