The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced 92nd Oscars shortlist on Monday. The shortlist in consideration for the 92nd Academy Awards in nine categories: Documentary Feature, Music (Original Score), International Feature Film, Documentary Short Subject, Visual Effects, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Song), Live Action Short Film and Animated Short Film.

Documentary Feature
In the Documentary Feature category one hundred fifty-nine films were submitted for the 92nd Academy Awards. Fifteen films will Shortlist for 92nd Oscar’s awards in the Documentary Feature category. Members of the Documentary Branch vote to determine the 92nd Oscars Shortlist and the nominees.

Documentary Short Subject
Ninety-six films qualified in the Documentary Short Subject category for the 92nd Academy Awards. Only Ten films will be shortlisted in the Documentary Short Subject category. All the members of the Documentary Branch will vote to determine the Oscars shortlist and the nominees.

International Feature Film
Ninety-one films were eligible in the International Feature Film category. Ten films are shortlisted to the next round for the 92nd Academy Awards in the International Feature Film category. The members of the Academy Awards from all the branches were invited to participate in the introductory round. All submitted films were viewed theatrically by the member and met a minimum viewing requirement to be eligible for 92nd Oscar’s shortlist to vote in the International Feature Film category (formerly known as Foreign Language Film). To add up three additional selections in the Oscar shortlist for International Feature Film category, the voted by the Academy’s International Feature Film Award Executive Committee is done.
In the Oscar nominations round, Members from all the branch of the academy are invited to opt-in to participate and must view all 10 92nd Oscar shortlisted films in order to cast a vote.

In the Makeup and Hairstyling category ten films will advance for the 92nd Academy Awards. Academy’s Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Branch members will be invited to view seven-minute excerpts from each of the 10 shortlisted films for 92nd Academy Awards on Saturday, 4 January 2020. Members will vote to nominate five films in the Makeup and Hairstyling category for final Oscar consideration.

All members will be invited to view 10-minute excerpts from each of the Oscar shortlisted films online or attend satellite bake-off screenings on 4 January 2020 to vote and nominate five films for final Oscar consideration

Final Oscar Nominations Voting and Announcement
The Oscar Nominations voting will start on Thursday, 2 January 2020 and concludes on Tuesday, 7 January 2020.
92nd Academy Awards Nominations will be announced on Monday, 13 January 2020.
The 92nd Oscars® will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood, and will be televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
